The preload and global release dates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 have been confirmed

Activision has officially confirmed the release and preload dates for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which will be available on all platforms. The full release of the game is scheduled for October 23, 2026. However, players who pre-ordered will be able to start playing the campaign on October 16, giving them the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the storyline before the official launch. This decision will certainly attract the attention of fans eagerly awaiting the new installment in the series.

Additionally, the DMZ mode, which is an extraction mode, will be available starting October 20. This adds an extra level of interest to the game, as players will be able to try out new content before the full version is released. It is important to note that access to these modes will depend on which platform players are using, as well as the availability of early access.

For PC players, the game will be available at midnight local time on October 23. This means that regardless of the region, players will be able to start the game at the same time. However, if the game does not launch immediately, it is recommended to completely close and restart Steam to activate access. This can be a helpful tip for those who do not want to wait.

Release and early access dates

Preload schedules differ between sources: IGN reports October 14 at 21:00 PT; Activision's official PC guidance says October 15 at 09:00 PT. Check the publisher's schedule for your platform.

The system requirements for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 have also been published. For PC, 115 GB of free space on an SSD is required, which is a significant amount for installation. The minimum requirements include an AMD Ryzen 5 1400 or Intel Core i5-6600 processor, as well as 8 GB of RAM. The recommended requirements for comfortable gameplay on high settings include an AMD Ryzen 5 3600 or Intel Core i7-8700 processor and 16 GB of RAM.

Console versions of the game may have slightly different requirements, depending on what content players choose to download. However, generally, they will be similar to the requirements for PC. This is important to consider, especially for players planning to install the game on older consoles, where available space may be limited.

Preload information and system requirements

As for the editions, Modern Warfare 4 will be available in several variants. The standard digital edition includes early access to the campaign and costs $69.99. At the same time, the Volt edition, which includes additional bonuses such as operator packs and a weapon collection, will cost $99.99. This may influence the choice of players who want to get the most out of their pre-order.

The physical standard edition does not include early access, which may disappoint some players who prefer physical copies. This also highlights the importance of digital pre-orders in the modern gaming market, where many developers strive to offer additional benefits for those who choose digital versions of their games.

Considering all these factors, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 promises to be one of the most anticipated releases of the year. With early access to the campaign and the new DMZ mode, players will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the game world long before the official release. This could create additional hype and increase the number of pre-orders.

Editions and their features

Nevertheless, there are still some uncertainties. For example, how the new DMZ mode will work and what specific mechanics will be implemented in the game. It is also unclear how console players will be able to bypass regional restrictions using the time zone change trick, which may raise additional questions for users.

Overall, Activision is doing everything possible to ensure a smooth launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4. Considering all the announced features and modes, the game has every chance of becoming successful and attracting both old and new fans of the series. It is important to keep an eye on updates and news so as not to miss important details.

Thus, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is preparing for launch with many interesting features and opportunities for players. Given all the announcements, one can expect that the game will be a significant event in the world of video games, and many fans are already eagerly awaiting the chance to dive into the new content.
