Chinese manufacturer Oppo has announced the start of the global sales cycle for the new A7 Pro Max 5G smartphone. The device stands out in the lineup due to its extraordinarily large battery — 10,000 mAh, as well as the world's first implementation of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processor, built on a 4-nanometer process technology.
The model's display features a 6.78-inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of FHD+ (2772 × 1272 pixels). The display supports an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, brightness reaches 800 nits, and in high brightness mode — 1800 nits. Color reproduction covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space and works with 10-bit color depth, while the built-in optical scanner provides quick access to the device.
Inside, the smartphone is equipped with 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and a 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage, allowing for large data storage and supporting fast application response. The foundation is the aforementioned 4-nm Snapdragon 4 Gen 5, promising improved energy efficiency and performance in 5G networks.
The photography is implemented with a main 50-megapixel camera featuring optical image stabilization and an additional 2-megapixel monochrome sensor, which enhances capabilities in low light. For selfies and video calls, there is a front camera of the same capacity — 50 MP, both cameras are capable of recording video in Full HD (1080 p) at 30 frames per second.
The most notable feature remains the battery: 10,000 mAh allows for over a day of use without recharging under intensive use. The device supports wired fast charging at 80 W and reverse charging up to 27 W, making it practical for charging accessories as well. The protection against moisture and dust meets the IP69K level, allowing it to withstand extreme conditions.
The smartphone runs on the ColorOS 16 interface, built on Android 16, offering modern security and personalization features. Two color versions are being released — 'Surfing Blue' and 'Lunar Black'. The price for the base configuration with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage starts at 563 US dollars.
The emergence of the A7 Pro Max 5G reflects the growing demand for devices with long battery life and 5G connectivity, especially in regions with limited charging station infrastructure.
