Endless Legend 2 has exited early access: release and new factions

After nearly twelve months in early access, Amplitude Studios has officially announced the full release of their long-awaited 4X strategy game Endless Legend 2. The initial version of the game was presented in 2023, and during the testing period, the team gathered player feedback to refine mechanics, balance, and visual design.
New factions and content
With the release of version 1.0, players have access to three playable factions. The most intriguing is the completely new faction 'Sand Creators', which consists of nomads capable of manipulating desert landscapes and utilizing unique resources. The other two factions – 'Order of Zelevas' and 'Severed Claws' – are exiles from well-known groups in the previous installment: the former are defectors from the 'Sheredin Clan', while the latter have renounced the 'Necrophages'. Each faction receives its own set of units, technologies, and storylines, which expands the strategic depth of the game.
Along with the release, the developers launched a major content update that includes new maps, improved graphical effects, and balance adjustments, as well as an official trailer showcasing the gameplay of the new factions and updated diplomacy mechanics.
Project support is not limited to the release of version 1.0. Amplitude announced that it will closely monitor community feedback, planning to adjust existing content and release additional patches. Final plans for the further development of the game have not yet been announced, but the team is already working on new ideas that may appear in future updates.
It is worth noting that the release of Endless Legend 2 coincided with a period when interest in the 4X strategy genre remains high among both Western and Ukrainian players. The game offers a deep economic and diplomatic model, making it appealing to those looking for an alternative to more mainstream titles.
The game is available on multiple platforms: PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store), as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S consoles. A complete localization of the text is provided for the Russian-speaking audience, which simplifies immersion in the world of Aurelia.
At the same time, Amplitude does not rest on its laurels and has already announced work on its next major strategy – Humankind II. This indicates that the studio continues to invest in the development of the genre and is ready to offer players new projects based on the experience gained from creating Endless Legend.
