World of Warcraft: Forever announced for release on November 4

- World of Warcraft: Forever will be released on November 4, 2024.
- The game will offer new zones, raids, and quests for the original WoW.
- The beta test starts on September 17 for owners of special packs.
- The maximum level at launch is capped at 60.
Blizzard officially presented another iteration of its legendary online game – World of Warcraft: Forever. The project is positioned as an 'expanded version' of the original World of Warcraft, retaining the core mechanics of classic vanilla while adding new zones, raids, dungeons, abilities, quests, and other content not previously found in the original release.
What will be new?
At launch, the character level is capped at 60, just like in classic WoW, but the developers promise that players will be able to explore areas that were previously closed off, as well as complete additional raid dungeons created specifically for this version. In addition to new locations, new talents and abilities will be introduced, expanding character build options.
For those who wish to try the game before the official release, Blizzard has prepared a beta test starting on September 17. Participation in the testing will be available to owners of the Skyborne Epic Pack or Warcraft Forever Collection – special packs that include additional cosmetic items and in-game bonuses.
The announcement of World of Warcraft: Forever came against the backdrop of the ongoing success of WoW Classic, launched in 2019. The classic version attracted both veterans and new players looking to experience the original mechanics without modern changes. The high demand for additional content and the desire to expand the 'vanilla' experience prompted Blizzard to create a more complete version.
Some players are already expressing that this project resembles modifications that bring back the old style of play but with modern improvements. In their opinion, Forever could become an independent product rather than just a set of patches for Classic, offering a longer 'eternal' gameplay cycle.
At the same time, the community is discussing concerns that after the initial interest, content may quickly run out, and players will find unbalanced items and skills. However, Blizzard has stated its intention to maintain balance and regularly update the game, relying on the experience gained from releasing previous classic versions.
The launch of World of Warcraft: Forever is scheduled for November 4, and pre-sales have already begun. The game is expected to attract both the old audience and new players who want to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the early 2000s, but with modern conveniences.
