Developer SummerClip announced the planned release of the project Ved: Recure, which will be available on the Steam platform starting September 22. The game belongs to the genre of anime-stylized action roguelikes and combines elements of dynamic battles with a deep leveling system.
Plot and World
The main character is an office worker who loses interest in video games after 27 nights of overtime. Within the project, his condition is referred to as V.E.D. (Virtual Exhaustion Disorder). One day, while launching another game on his computer, he falls asleep in his chair and wakes up in a strange dimension, where a mysterious tower appears, collector robots roam the streets, and the weather changes without warning.
Behind the events stands the Demiurge – the god of video games, offering a 'healing' mission: to complete a series of challenges, fight enemies, and collect buffs to restore the lost interest in gaming. Along the way, the hero encounters seven unique characters, each with their own set of skills, fighting style, and development branches.
Gameplay
A key feature of Ved: Recure is the Buff Chain system. Players can link buffs to specific actions – finishing moves, special attacks, counterattacks after dodging, and parrying. When the required move is performed, the linked effects are activated, allowing for the creation of individual combat builds.
The project consists of four chapters, each of which features the player facing 16 bosses. There are over 150 different upgrades and more than 50 pieces of equipment, providing extensive opportunities for adaptation to specific opponents and personal play style.
In addition to the main campaign, the game offers Boss Rush modes, an endless mode, and a training ground. The developers have also revamped the mechanics of resource acquisition and character development, making progress more convenient compared to the demo version.
Ved: Recure will be released only on PC via Steam and will not be localized into Russian. Despite the lack of an official translation, the game has already attracted the attention of gamers looking for a fresh approach to the roguelike genre.
