Creative Assembly is preparing to release the most extensive expansion for the strategy Total War: Warhammer III — Lords of the End Times. The release date is set for September 24, and on the same day, players will have access to the Immortal Empires campaign, available to all owners of any DLC, even without the base game.
New legendary lords
To draw attention to the upcoming DLC, the studio released two gameplay trailers. The videos showcase new legendary lords, each with unique abilities and separate development mechanics. Among the featured characters are Nagash, known for his monstrous power, and Tanquol, as well as a character named Boris, who fans believe fits the 'vibe' of the setting.
Additionally, with the release of the expansion, a free legendary lord Neferata will be provided, allowing all players to immediately try out the new content at no extra cost.
Reworking existing content
As part of Lords of the End Times, the developers also announced a rework of the vampires (not to be confused with the vampirates) and the character Archaon. The updates will affect both visual and gameplay aspects, making them more balanced and aligned with the new theme of the 'End Times', which promises an apocalyptic conclusion for the Warhammer Fantasy world.
New lords and reworked factions are expected to expand players' tactical options, providing new strategies in multiplayer battles and in the campaign.
