The game The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered from Bethesda Game Studios and Virtuos will soon receive new optimization improvements.

The latest update 1.2, released in July 2025, did not fix the optimization issues.

The announced version of the game for Nintendo Switch 2 gave fans hope for a new patch for other platforms.

The development team is currently working on the version for Nintendo Switch 2, but plans to implement performance improvements on PC and other consoles.

Bethesda also denied claims that layoffs at the studio affected the release schedule of The Elder Scrolls VI and the development timeline of Fallout 76.
