In brief
  • Sony announced four games for PS Plus in September.
  • In the lineup are Sniper Elite: Resistance, Chained Echoes, Wobbly Life, and MLB The Show 26.
  • The games are available from September 1; the August selection is active until August 31.

After recent leaks, Sony Interactive Entertainment officially announced the list of games that will be available as part of the basic PlayStation Plus subscription in September. Subscribers' expectations were met: the lineup includes four projects instead of the usual three.

The main event of the month is the release of the already known sniper stealth-action game Sniper Elite: Resistance, developed by Rebellion Developments. The game will be available for both PlayStation 4 and the latest PlayStation 5 console, allowing players to experience tactical missions in an alternate version of World War II.

The second new title, Chained Echoes, is a pixel role-playing game inspired by classic Japanese RPGs. The platform is limited to PlayStation 4, but thanks to the cloud service, players will be able to enjoy it on newer devices.

The third item on the list is the cooperative sandbox Wobbly Life, available on both consoles. The project has already gained popularity on Steam, where its rating is 97%. Players can explore an open world together, complete various tasks, and create their own stories.

An unusual addition is the baseball simulator MLB The Show 26 from the American studio San Diego Studio, which has appeared in the PlayStation Plus catalog for the first time. The game, released in March, will be available only for PlayStation 5, giving subscribers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the realistic world of professional baseball.

According to the official announcement, access to new games will open on September 1. Until August 31, users could activate the August selection, which included the open world Big Walk (PS5), the zombie action game Dying Light 2 (PS4, PS5), and the retro horror Signalis (PS4).

There have been many comments on social media, and most subscribers noted that there will be something interesting for every taste in the September set. Thus, Sony continues to maintain interest in its service by offering diverse content for both action lovers and fans of cooperative games.
