In brief
  • Deferral does not guarantee the absence of problems
  • The search by the TCC is possible in case of violation of the rules
  • It is necessary to contact the TCC or the court

A deferral or reservation for mobilization does not guarantee that a man will no longer have problems with military registration. Even those exempt from conscription in Ukraine can be put on the TCC's wanted list.

Lawyer Yulia Antonuk explained in a comment what men should do if they have a deferral but still ended up on the wanted list in the 'Reserve'. She also explained whether it is necessary to pay the imposed TCC fine and how to obtain a deferral if you are already being searched for.

According to the lawyer, the TCC can declare a person wanted if they violated military registration rules – for example, did not update their information or did not appear when summoned.

Sometimes a person has a reservation, but is on the TCC's wanted list - this may be a technical glitch. There are situations when information about a deferral or reservation is not entered into the registry or 'disappears' in the system.

The lawyer explained what to do if the TCK has issued a search warrant: "You need to contact the TCK with an official statement, which is drawn up in a free form. In it, you should demand an explanation of the grounds for the search: why the mark appeared, whether the TCK sent data, whether a protocol was drawn up, or if it is indeed a failure.

If the Territorial Center does not respond to such a statement, then – you should only go to court and remove this search status."
