Chillout — a style of electronic music, the name of which comes from the English slang word 'to chill' - cool down, relax. It originated in the early 90s of the last century. At that time, chill-out was still relatively restrained and slow. Later, becoming more dynamic and diverse, it retained its name and is still used to describe tonal, relaxing music.
