Samsung reduced battery durability

- Samsung has switched to silicon-carbon batteries
- The durability of the batteries may decrease
- The capacity of the batteries has increased
Samsung has transitioned its next-generation foldable smartphones to silicon-carbon batteries, which may negatively impact their durability.
The new batteries will retain 80% of their capacity after 1200 charge cycles, which is significantly less than previous models.
Silicon-carbon batteries are less durable than traditional lithium-ion ones and may expand in size during later stages of use.
Despite this, Samsung has achieved an increase in battery capacity and ensured a higher safety rating.
This move has allowed Samsung to surpass Google Pixel and Apple iPhone in battery durability metrics.
