New Naruto projects: the manga Shadow Rising and a crossover with Ninku
At Comic Con 2026, which took place in New York, author Masashi Kishimoto announced new projects in the Naruto universe. Among them are a manga titled Shadow Rising and an anime crossover with the popular manga and anime Ninku. These announcements have generated great interest among fans who are eagerly awaiting new adventures of their favorite characters.
At the Naruto panel during Comic Con 2026, several details about the new projects were presented. Although little is known about the manga Shadow Rising so far, Kishimoto's involvement and the project's title have been confirmed. This creates expectations among fans who hope for a return to familiar plots and characters, as well as new stories that may be presented in the manga.
The anime crossover Naruto x Ninku, according to the organizers, will be a full-fledged merger of the two legendary series. The project is under the control of Koji Kiriyama and Masashi Kishimoto, which guarantees high quality and fidelity to the original works. The crossover is expected to attract both old fans and new viewers familiar with Ninku.
Announcements at Comic Con 2026
The plot of the anime Naruto x Ninku will tell about Team 7, consisting of Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura, who receive a mission from Kakashi. Since Kakashi cannot participate in the mission, Naruto becomes the temporary leader. However, during the execution of the task, the team finds themselves in another world, where they meet a mysterious boy named Fusuke. This opens up new possibilities for plot development and character interaction.
At Comic Con, a teaser for the manga Shadow Rising was also presented, which promises more information at the Super Stage Naruto at Jump Festa 2027. This event will be a significant milestone for fans, as key details about the plot and characters of the new manga may be revealed. Expectations are high, and fans hope for interesting plot twists.
Additionally, an unexpected announcement was made at the Naruto panel about the creation of a live-action adaptation. Director Destin Daniel Cretton shared his thoughts on how important it is to bring the world and characters created by Kishimoto to the screen. He noted that Naruto is a character who is often underestimated but possesses incredible spirit and perseverance, making him particularly appealing to viewers.
Details about the manga and anime
Kretton emphasized that they are approaching the creation of the film with great care and attention to detail to preserve the uniqueness and spirit of the original story. He expressed hope that the film will be able to convey the same energy and emotions that were present in the manga and anime, and that fans will be satisfied with the result.
At this time, details about the release date of new projects remain unknown. However, given the high interest in Naruto and its universe, it can be expected that announcements will be accompanied by an active advertising campaign. Fans have already begun discussing possible plot lines and characters that may appear in the new projects.
Considering that Naruto remains one of the most popular franchises in the world of anime and manga, new projects such as Shadow Rising and Naruto x Ninku could significantly impact the further development of the story. This may also lead to a revival of interest in the original works and their adaptations.
The Future of Naruto in Cinema
There are still many questions about how exactly the new plots will develop and which characters will return. Fans hope for the return of their favorite heroes and new interesting characters that can complement and diversify the Naruto universe.
Overall, the announcements at Comic Con 2026 have become an important event for Naruto fans. Expectations for the new projects are high, and many hope that they will be able to recapture the spirit of the original story while adding new elements and plots that will be interesting to both old and new viewers.
We eagerly await Jump Festa 2027, where new details about the manga Shadow Rising and the anime Naruto x Ninku will be revealed. This event promises to be a significant milestone for all Naruto fans, and perhaps we will see new exciting adventures of our beloved characters.
