Kosenko on the performance of HIT and Athletic in the Champions League

The head coach of the Ukrainian futsal national team, Kosenko, expressed satisfaction with the results of the HIT and Athletic teams in the Champions League. According to him, after two rounds, HIT has already secured its place in the next stage, while Athletic has good chances before the last game. "The results speak for themselves," he noted, emphasizing that both teams handled the pressure and managed to achieve victories despite difficulties.

Kosenko also noted that everything will be decided for Athletic in the last round, where they will meet the Serbian Loznica. He emphasized that it is important for the team not to get fixated on the closeness of success, but to use it as additional motivation. "Everything depends on their confidence and mindset," the coach added, pointing out the uncertainty in how the opponent, who no longer has tournament motivation, will prepare.

As for ХІТ, the team has already accomplished its main task by securing a playoff spot. However, the last match will also be important for the fight for higher positions in the group, which may affect the choice of opponent in the next stage. "ХІТ understands that finishing in 1st or 2nd place in the group will give them an easier opponent," noted Кosenko, emphasizing the importance of this aspect.

Successes of Ukrainian teams in the Champions League

In the first round, both teams failed to win: ХІТ drew with Benfica, while Атлетик drew with Хрудім. However, in the second round, both teams secured victories, allowing them to earn 4 points each. Кosenko urged not to dwell on past matches and to focus on the upcoming games. "It's important to accept the results as they are," he said, emphasizing the need for proper preparation for the final games.

Kosenko also commented on the situation with the canceled goal of HIT in the match against Benfica. He noted that, in his opinion, the match time had expired, and there is no point in discussing this episode further. "Such cases happen in sports, and the referees' decision is final," he added, emphasizing that it is important to move on and not dwell on the past.

In the last round, Athletic will play against Loznica, while HIT will face the Spanish El-Poso. For HIT, a draw will be enough to secure second place in the group, while Athletic needs to win to ensure a better position. "Every game matters, and teams must be ready for any surprises," Kosenko noted.

Upcoming matches and their significance

Kosenko expressed hope that both teams would be able to show their best football in the decisive matches. He emphasized that the confidence and mindset of the players will be key factors for achieving success. "It is important for them to get in the right mindset and put in maximum effort," he added, highlighting the significance of the upcoming games for both teams.

Athletic, being in a difficult situation, must focus on their game and not pay attention to the pressure from opponents. "Loznitsa has no tournament motivation, and this could play to Athletic's advantage," noted Kosenko, emphasizing that everything depends on the team's mindset.

HIT, for its part, must use its experience and confidence to achieve a positive result in the match against El-Poso. "The team has already shown that it can handle difficulties, and I hope they continue in the same spirit," said Kosenko, highlighting the importance of teamwork and strategy.

Discussion of results and forecasts

Kosenko also noted that in futsal, as in any other sport, it is important to be able to handle pressure and maintain concentration. "Every game is a new challenge, and teams must be ready for any surprises," he added, emphasizing the need to adapt to the situation on the field.

In conclusion, the coach expressed hope for the successful performance of both teams in the Champions League. "I believe that HIT and Athletic can show their best football and achieve success," he said, highlighting the importance of fan support and player confidence.

Thus, the upcoming matches will be crucial for HIT and Athletic. Both teams have chances for success, but for that, they need to set themselves up correctly and showcase all their best qualities on the field. Kosenko is confident that the results of the recent games will show what Ukrainian teams are capable of on the international stage.
