Christopher Nolan took the heist movie scheme — the client, the team of specialists, the impossible job, the countdown — and transferred it to a place where you can only steal thoughts. Cobb's house can infiltrate other people's dreams and extract secrets from there; this time he is tasked with the opposite, and the job becomes multilayered in the literal sense. The value of the film lies not so much in the idea as in the discipline: Nolan explains the rules of his world in detail and honestly, and then plays strictly by them, which makes the most fantastic episodes look like an engineering problem. Hence the rotating corridor, shot live in a huge built set, and the booming soundtrack by Hans Zimmer, which later became a benchmark for hundreds of trailers. And also, 'Inception' is a rare blockbuster whose ending millions of people still seriously discuss; it's better to reach this debate yourself.
