Pension in Ukraine

As of April 1, 2026, the average pension in Ukraine was 7,236.49 hryvnias. The highest figure was recorded in the capital, where the average pension payment reached 9,863.73 hryvnias.
At the same time, the lowest average pension among all regions of the country is recorded in the Ternopil region – 5,612.46 hryvnias.
The average pension payments in Ukraine show a positive trend. For comparison: at the beginning of the year – as of January 1, 2026 – the average pension in the Ternopil region was 5,062.66 hryvnias, while in Kyiv it was 8,981.20 hryvnias.
The Cabinet of Ministers has planned a phased increase in the minimum pension in Ukraine over the next three years.
Some categories of pensioners are entitled to an additional payment to their pension. This refers to the age supplement.
