The musical style "Reggae" emerged in the 1960s as one of the new musical styles of Jamaican pop music. The story of its origin is quite simple. Listening to American radio waves, Jamaican musicians picked up several rhythm and blues compositions performed by well-known artists and decided to reproduce them. As you can understand, they didn't have sheet music, so they had to figure out the music solely by listening to the radio. Therefore, what they produced differed quite significantly from the original versions. Some details were simply overlooked, and when writing music, they inserted familiar elements of Jamaican pop music in their place. Over time, this style evolved, resulting in the world gaining such famous performers as Bob Marley, Inner Circle, Mattafix, and many others, who are heard on online Radio «Regggggey»!
