Redmi 17 4G appeared in a Polish store before Xiaomi's official announcement

- Redmi 17 4G is sold in Poland without an official announcement from Xiaomi
- 6.9-inch IPS display with 120 Hz and Helio G91 Ultra processor
- 50 MP main camera, 8 MP front camera, 7500 mAh battery
- Price from €210 for 128 GB to €255 for 256 GB
Unexpectedly for many, the new smartphone from the Redmi series is already available in Polish retail outlets, although Xiaomi has not yet announced its release in China or other regions. This move indicates a possible change in the company's strategy, where budget models are introduced to the European market earlier than in their home country of China.
Technical Specifications
Redmi 17 4G features a 6.9-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1600 × 720 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz, providing smooth visuals even in dynamic games. Under the hood is an octa-core MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra processor, operating at a clock speed of up to 2.0 GHz and built on a 12 nm process. The device comes with 4 GB of RAM and two storage options: 128 GB and 256 GB.
The camera features a 50-megapixel main module with an f/1.8 aperture and an 8-megapixel front camera. Both cameras are capable of recording video in Full HD 1080 p at 30 frames per second, which is sufficient for most users.
The battery deserves special attention — its capacity is 7500 mAh, which promises a long operating time without recharging. The package does not include a charging block, however, the smartphone supports fast charging of up to 45 W, allowing for quick energy replenishment.
The Redmi 17 4G is offered in two color options — green and blue. According to preliminary data, the version with 128 GB of memory costs around 210 euros, while the model with 256 GB is approximately 255 euros, making it competitive in the affordable device segment.
The appearance of the model in Poland before the official announcement may indicate a test launch in Europe, where the demand for inexpensive smartphones with good gaming characteristics remains high. This may also signal to competitors that Xiaomi is ready to accelerate the release of new budget products in Western markets.
The Redmi series is traditionally aimed at users looking for a balance between price and performance. Previous models have already gained popularity due to their reliability and affordability, and the new Redmi 17 4G, judging by its specifications, will continue this trend.
While the company has not made an official statement, buyers in Poland can already evaluate the device in real use. Additional details about Xiaomi's plans for the global launch of this model are expected to emerge in the coming weeks.
