In brief
  • The LX 7G100 barely surpassed the RX 580 (≈5 %);
  • It lags behind the RTX 4060 by more than 2.2 times;
  • WHQL certification ensures compatibility with DirectX 12;
  • Three driver updates in four months without noticeable gains

The Chinese manufacturer Lisuan Tech introduced the LX 7G100 graphics card, claiming it can compete with the Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060. On paper, the device is equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory, a 192-bit bus, and a GPU manufactured using TSMC N6 FinFET technology. According to specifications, the card promises 24.5 TFLOPS FP32 and a core frequency of up to 2000 MHz, which theoretically places it alongside the RTX 3060 12 GB or AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT.

However, independent tests conducted by the German publication PC Games Hardware showed that the actual performance of the LX 7G100 only slightly exceeds that of the nine-year-old Radeon RX 580 – by about 5 %. Compared to the seven-year-old Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, the card lags behind by almost 35 %, and it is 23 % behind the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 with 6 GB of memory.

Considering the stated specifications, the LX 7G100 lags behind the current RTX 4060 by more than 2.2 times and demonstrates only a third of the level shown by the latest RTX 5060. Nevertheless, the card received the first WHQL certification in China, which guarantees compatibility with DirectX 12 and support for modern games, including Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and Battlefield 6.

In the four months since its release, the manufacturer has released three driver updates, each of which has passed WHQL testing. So far, the performance gains from these patches have been minimal, and experts doubt whether software optimization can close the gap with Western competitors.

The technical details of the card include 6144 shader units, 12 GB of GDDR6 with a bandwidth of up to 432 GB/s, and a 192-bit memory bus. Although these specifications look attractive, real comparisons show that more modern solutions from Nvidia and AMD are two to three times faster at similar power consumption.

For the Chinese market, the LX 7G100 may be the first step towards creating its own graphic solutions, but the lack of competitive performance limits its appeal outside the country. The company is currently focused on improving drivers and expanding compatibility rather than fundamentally increasing computing power.

The results of independent tests confirm that the Lisuan LX 7G100 graphics card remains a local achievement rather than a global competitor. Without significant hardware updates or breakthrough driver solutions, it will be difficult for it to reach the level of the RTX 4060 or even the RTX 3060.
