Publisher Raw Fury, in collaboration with studio Spooky Doorway, announced the planned release of their new detective adventure The Séance of Blake Manor. On October 27, the game will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, and will also simultaneously appear in the Game Pass subscription service.

Plot and setting

The action takes place in 1897 in the western part of Ireland. Mediums and representatives of occult practices from around the world gather at an ancient mansion to conduct a ritual that allows them to open the boundary between the living and the dead. Two days before the scheduled séance, a young woman — Evelyn Dean — goes missing. Private detective Declan Ward is sent to the scene to find the girl and determine who is behind her disappearance.

The gameplay revolves around interacting with various characters, conducting interrogations, exploring the environment, and recording the gathered information in the detective's personal diary. As the player progresses, they uncover not only the motives of those present but also the dark history of the estate itself.

Mechanics Features

A distinctive feature of The Séance of Blake Manor is the timer system. Each action of the main character takes a certain amount of minutes, and only by being in the right place at the right moment can the player witness a key event that affects the course of the investigation. Improper time management can lead to missed clues and complicate the search for a solution.
