The developers from Gaming Minds have officially announced the release date of their new strategy game Tropico 7. This is reported in a recently released gameplay trailer, which showcases the main objectives of the player and the visual style of the project.
The continuation of the popular series
The third and final major release in the series, Tropico 7, continues the tradition established in the first part in 2001. The games in the series are known for their satire on political regimes, humor, and the ability to build your own Caribbean paradise, managing it as a dictator.
In the new installment, the player once again takes on the role of 'El Presidente', who is responsible for the development of the island nation. The main goal is to turn a small piece of land into a thriving resort while simultaneously keeping discontented citizens and rebels seeking to overthrow the government under control.
The gameplay cycle combines landscape planning, infrastructure construction, economic development, and political management. As in previous installments, the player will have to balance the desires of the population, the demands of foreign investors, and their own ambitions.
Particular attention in the trailer is given to the counter-insurgency system. Rebels, as before, will attempt to undermine your regime, and the effectiveness of the measures taken will determine the stability of the state.
The game will be available on multiple platforms: personal computers via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store, as well as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series consoles. Full localization of the text is provided for the Russian-speaking audience.
It is expected that Tropico 7 it will attract both long-time fans of the series and new players interested in strategy games with elements of political satire. The release date – January 28 of next year – is already marked in gamers' calendars.
