The British studio Creative Assembly, owned by Sega, held the first gameplay demonstration of its galactic strategy Total War: Warhammer 40,000 at the Chinese exhibition Bilibili World 2026.
The six-minute video showcases a battle for the capital of the civilized world between the Imperial Guard and the forces of orcs seeking to conquer the planet.
The video features a fully functional cover system, destructible environments, and a number of imperial and orc units, including the colossal walking battle fortress 'Stompa'.
Players will lead one of the legendary factions, capture planets, shape the fates of worlds, and wield apocalyptic weapons.
The gameplay of Total War: Warhammer 40,000 also includes frame rate drops during particularly spectacular moments of battle.
