Around 15 countries are showing interest in the European air defense system SAMP/T

The Eurosam consortium, which includes European companies, is already in discussions about potential supplies of the SAMP/T NG (next generation) system with countries such as Kuwait and Hungary. This complex is being developed as a competitor to the American Patriot.

According to Bloomberg, around 15 countries are showing interest in SAMP/T. Ukraine is also among them, which may be related to the need to strengthen its air defense in the context of the ongoing conflict.

The SAMP/T system is designed to protect against aerial threats, including aircraft, cruise missiles, and drones. It is expected to provide a higher level of protection than existing systems.
