Widower Frank Good has spent his life covering wires with insulation and demanding great achievements from his children. When none of them show up for the family dinner, he packs a suitcase and sets off across the country — to visit each of them without warning. Robert De Niro plays quietly and disarmingly: the road drama gradually uncovers a family conspiracy of silence and the cost of parental expectations.
