- Apple announces over seven new devices in October
- The MacBook with a touch OLED display will be the central novelty
- Smart home devices will receive integration with Siri and Apple Intelligence
- The iPad mini will be updated with an OLED display and a powerful processor
Apple plans to significantly expand its product portfolio in October this year. According to tech sources, the manufacturer will announce over seven new devices covering various categories — from personal computers to smart home solutions.
It is expected that new laptops will play a central role in the October announcement. In particular, the company may introduce a completely redesigned MacBook with an innovative touch OLED display — a move that will allow the device to achieve a qualitatively new level of user interaction. In addition, an update to the 14-inch MacBook Pro is planned, which will receive a more powerful M6 processor. The third novelty in the laptop lineup will be a revamped iMac with an improved chipset and an expanded range of color options.
It is worth noting that Apple has already been actively updating its lineup of computers this year. Earlier, the company released the MacBook Neo and MacBook Air with the M5 processor, as well as several versions of the MacBook Pro with the same M5 chip. Later, updates for the Mac mini and Mac Studio followed, demonstrating the manufacturer's ongoing focus on improving its computing solutions.
Smart home and intelligent features
Significant changes are expected in the ecosystem of home automation devices. The main focus of the updates will be the integration of the personal voice assistant Siri and Apple Intelligence features — the company's artificial intelligence system.
In the lineup of set-top boxes, an announcement of the Apple TV 4K is expected, equipped with a more powerful processor from the A19 series or the higher modification A19 Pro, as well as an updated Siri Remote control with expanded capabilities. For the portable speaker category, the introduction of the HomePod or HomePod Touch with a built-in touchscreen is planned, allowing users to control the device by touch. Additionally, Apple may announce an upgraded second-generation HomePod mini with improved specifications and sound quality. The premiere of a fully functional HomePod with support for Siri's artificial intelligence capabilities is also not ruled out.
Tablet Line Updates
Tablets will also receive significant modifications as part of the October announcement. The iPad mini is set for an update with the installation of a cutting-edge high-quality OLED display and a powerful processor — either the A19 Pro or a higher version of the A20 Pro. The base version of the iPad is also expected to be refreshed, although there is a possibility that its release may be moved to an earlier period in 2027.
The expansion of Apple's portfolio indicates the company's desire to strengthen its presence in the portable devices and home automation systems market. The integration of advanced artificial intelligence technologies across all device categories points to a shift in the manufacturer's strategy, where AI becomes a key differentiator among various solutions.
