The Ukrainian team Qlevel from the city of Rivne, led by former player of the Ukrainian national team and 'Dnipro' Maksym Kalynichenko, has successfully made its way to the quarter-finals of the Eurocup in mini-football. In the decisive match, the Ukrainians lost to the Polish team 'Duma Tartan', conceding a goal in the final minutes of the match.
"Duma Tartana" remained undefeated throughout the tournament, not suffering a single defeat. This highlights the high level of preparation of the Polish national team and their stability in matches.
Qlevel path in the group stage
The tournament did not start well for the Ukrainians – in the first match of the group stage, they lost to the Greek team 'Flamingos' with a score of 1:3. However, the team quickly regained form, achieving a comeback victory over the Romanian 'Lion Cabs' (5:4) and crushing the Spanish 'Razing Raymond' with a score of 13:3. These results secured Qlevel's advancement to the playoffs.
Playoff: victories and dramatic exit
In the Round of 16, the Ukrainians faced the French team 'Le Blues Five' and won 2:1, demonstrating effective defensive play and quick counterattacks. In the Quarterfinals, the team faced the Hungarian 'Silashi es Baratai' from Budapest. After the regular time, the score was 3:3, and the match went to a penalty shootout, where Qlevel won 3:2.
In the quarterfinals held in Poland, the Ukrainians played against 'Duma Tartan'. In the final minutes of the match, the Polish team took the opportunity and scored the decisive goal, after which the match ended 1:0 in favor of the guests.
Kalynichenko, who became the head of the club on September 14, emphasized that a successful performance in the European Cup demonstrates the growth of the level of Ukrainian mini-football and its ability to compete with the best European teams. According to him, the experience gained in this tournament will serve as a foundation for the further development of the club and the training of young players.
Mini football in Ukraine is actively developing under the auspices of the Ukrainian Mini Football Federation, which supports clubs' participation in international competitions. Achievements at Qlevel in this tournament increase interest in the sport in the country and inspire other teams for further successes.
