A crossover where Sega gathered everyone they could remember in one go: Sonic the Hedgehog and his crew, Ryo Hazuki from Shenmue driving a forklift, the monkey from Super Monkey Ball in his ball, characters from Jet Set Radio and Space Channel 5. Each one rides something unique — from racing cars to motorcycles and even absurd vehicles — and this is not just cosmetic: the vehicles noticeably differ in weight and handling. Sumo Digital created a solid karting arcade with drifting and acceleration during skids, and instead of super moves, each hero has a personal All-Star move that activates when things get tough. The tracks are based on Sega's universes — Seaside Hill, Casino Park, snowy and urban stages, and the fan excitement is largely driven by the music: remixes of classic Sega themes elevate the game just as much as the mechanics. It's not the deepest racing game, but it's genuinely warm.
