Sarah moves to Los Angeles, attends a Catholic school, and befriends three outcasts whom the other students call witches. Together they form a full-fledged coven — and discover that their rituals really work. Then the real fun begins: the power grants wishes literally, and Nancy, played by Fairuza Balk, revels in it to the point of madness. A cult classic teen mystique of the nineties, where magic is a metaphor for what happens with resentment if you give it power.
