Stockholm Metro - an art gallery
The Stockholm metro (Swedish: Stockholms tunnelbana) is called 'the longest art gallery in the world.' It was opened on October 1, 1950. The entrances to this gallery are marked with signs featuring a large letter T (T-Bana).

Включает 100 станций на трёх ветвящихся линиях — синей, красной и зеленой. 47 подземные станций и 53 наземные или надземные станции.

Traffic on the lines is left-sided, as left-sided traffic was in place at the time of the metro's opening in Sweden.

But the main thing about it is the design. Each line is decorated in its own way. There are fairy-tale grottos, Greek sculptures, corners of classical architecture, wall reliefs, mosaics, and even video installations, pop art (in one of the stations, huge shoes are nailed to the ceiling), fountains, and streams.

Exhibitions are often held in the metro. Several hundred artists contribute their works to the Stockholm metro. Previously, the government invested about $1.5 million annually in the underground gallery.

The oldest branch of the metro is the green one, while the blue one is the most picturesque.
