The Ukrainian team Qlevel from Rivne, led by former national team player and 'Dnipro' star Maksym Kalynichenko, successfully made it to the quarter-finals of the Euro Cup in mini-football. In the decisive match, the Ukrainians lost to the Polish team 'Duma Tartan', conceding a goal in the final minutes of the match.
'Duma Tartan' remained undefeated throughout the tournament, not suffering any losses. This highlights the high level of preparation of the Polish team and their stability in matches.
Qlevel's path in the group stage.
The tournament started for the Ukrainians with less than ideal results – in their first group stage match, they lost to the Greek team 'Flamingos' with a score of 1:3. However, the team quickly regained form, achieving a comeback victory over the Romanian 'Lion Cabs' (5:4) and crushing the Spanish 'Razing Raymond' with a score of 13:3. These results secured Qlevel's advancement to the playoffs.
Playoffs: victories and a dramatic exit.
In the round of 16, the Ukrainians faced the French team 'Le Blues Five' and won 2:1, demonstrating effective defensive play and quick counterattacks. In the round of 8, the team faced the Hungarian 'Silashi es Baratai' from Budapest. After the regular time, the score was 3:3, and the match went to a penalty shootout, where Qlevel won 3:2.
In the quarterfinals held in Poland, the Ukrainians played against 'Duma Tartan'. In the final minutes of the match, the Polish team took their chance and scored the decisive goal, after which the match ended 1:0 in favor of the guests.
Kalynichenko, who became the head of the club on September 14, emphasized that a successful performance in the Eurocup demonstrates the growth of the level of Ukrainian mini-football and its ability to compete with the best European teams. According to him, the experience gained in this tournament will serve as a foundation for the further development of the club and the preparation of young players.
Mini-football in Ukraine is actively developing under the auspices of the Ukrainian Mini-Football Federation, which supports the participation of clubs in international competitions.
