Mykola Uhozhaiev

Nikolai Ugozhaev, the Russian champion in jumps and winner of Grand Prix stages, decided to work on a new short program for the 2026/2027 season with choreographer Florent Amodio.

According to Ugozhaev, he wanted to work with a foreign choreographer to try something new and continue to develop.

Ugoyayev chose Florent Amodio after recommendations from knowledgeable people and because Amodio trained with Nikolai Morozov and knows Russia.

Amodio offered Ugoyayev his version of the program and asked to send videos of his performances from the last two seasons.

When they met at the rink, Amodio watched as Ugozaev skated, and only then did they begin the performance.
