In brief
  • 'Galatasaray' wants to sign Kevin De Bruyne
  • The club is preparing a two-year contract with favorable terms
  • A deal with Alexey Batrakov for €20 million is also being considered

The Turkish football club 'Galatasaray' has officially stated its interest in the transfer of Belgian midfielder Kevin De Bruyne, who currently plays for 'Napoli' and the Belgian national team.

According to information received from the well-known insider Ekrem Konur on the social network X, the Istanbul team plans to offer De Bruyne a two-year contract, which, according to a club representative, will include attractive financial and sporting conditions.

Preparation of the offer from Napoli

Simultaneously with the negotiations on the player's personal contract, Galatasaray is preparing an official offer to the club-owner Napoli. The current contract of the Belgian with the Neapolitans is valid until the summer of 2027, which makes a possible transfer to Turkey quite complicated from a legal standpoint.

Nevertheless, representatives of the Turkish club assure that their offer will be competitive and will be able to convince both the player and the management of Napoli of the feasibility of the deal.

Earlier, there were reports in the media that Galatasaray is close to signing Russian midfielder Alexey Batrakov, who currently plays for Lokomotiv (Moscow). According to experts, the Turkish club is ready to pay a transfer fee of about 20 million euros.

These news reflect the overall trend of Turkish clubs actively participating in international transfer markets, where they seek to attract high-level players despite the economic constraints caused by the current geopolitical situation in the region.

For the Ukrainian football community, such transfer rumors have a dual significance: on one hand, they demonstrate that European clubs continue to invest in talented players, and on the other hand, they emphasize how important stability and support for Ukrainian teams are in the context of the ongoing conflict.

In the coming weeks, further details of the negotiations are expected, which may determine whether De Bruyne will be part of Galatasaray or remain in Italy until the end of his current contract.
